Hibiscus Tea
Ingredients

¼ cup dried hibiscus flowers
4 cups cold or hot filtered water
Ice, for serving
Sweetener of choice, such as sugar, maple syrup, honey, or agave,
1 small bunch of fresh mint, for garnish

Instructions
1. Place the hibiscus flowers in a (1-quart) jar or medium pitcher. Add the water, stir to combine, and chill until bright red, at least 20 minutes. For a deeper color and flavor, chill overnight.

2. Pour the tea through a fine mesh strainer set over a bowl or pitcher to remove the hibiscus flowers. Pour into glasses filled with ice and sweeten to taste, if desired.

3. Garnish with fresh mint

Flower Girls: Hibiscus

CHARCOAL/SKETCH | DIGITAL COLOR | 2023

Hibiscus is a Garden Fairy too familiar with the value of time. When Hibiscus Fairies reach full bloom, they can easily be the prettiest flowers in the field. However, their beauty is given short praise due to Hibiscus Fairies short lifespan.

When in full bloom, Hibiscus Fairies only have 1-2 days to live before they begin to wilt and die. This is why most Hibiscus Fairies live carefree lives — never taking situations too personal or dwelling on the past.
