Rose Simple Syrup
Ingredients
2 cups of Rose petals packed
2 cups of sugar
2 cups of water
1 lemon wedge
Instructions
1. Stir 2 cups of sugar into 2 cups of boiling water until fully dissolved.
2. Turn off heat. Add 2 cups of fresh rose petals. Simmer on low for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, cover, and let sit for 3 hours.
3. Squeeze all the liquid from the petals.
4. Pour the mix through a strainer or cheesecloth until all the rose particles are removed.
5. Squeeze lemon to enhance flavor and color.
6. Store in a glass container for up to a week.

Roses are Garden Fairies often hunted for their beauty. There are legends of one particular Rose worshipped as a deity among the others.
She was captured during the peak of “Lover’s Season”, amputated, and placed in a vase on display for a couple. During one magical night, the couple got into an intense argument, destroying the vase. Leaves grew from the hips of the Rose, giving her wings — and a chance at freedom.
